WVDNR Opens Special Access Roads for Hunters with Disabilities
With fall hunting seasons approaching, the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources (WVDNR) is reminding hunters with disabilities that special access roads in select national forests and state-owned wildlife management areas are open to Class Q permit holders.
The Class Q hunting program allows improved, extended vehicular access on certain limited-access gated roads in the George Washington and Jefferson National Forests and the Monongahela National Forest, as well as certain limited-access gated roads on state WMAs. Access is limited to hunters with Class Q permits, which are available to individuals with permanent and irreversible respiratory, cardiovascular or lower extremity use limitations. For a list of Class Q access road sites, visit WVdnr.gov/hunting/class-q-hunting.

Healthy Cooking Class
Tuesdays 11:30 am
WV Health Right's Sustainable Change and Lifestyle Enhancement (SCALE®) program is a free, ongoing weight loss program for low-income, at-risk patients. Classes are offered weekly by a qualified team of providers at our main clinic and tailored to the needs of individual participants.
Although weight loss classes had been offered through the clinic's disease prevention and health promotion activities, SCALE® represents the first ongoing targeted weight loss program that incorporates diabetes self-management, healthy heart, exercise, nutrition, and healthy cooking in our brand new kitchen classroom. This program is offered at WV Health Right's East End Clinic and is free to the public. Registration is required.
For more information or to register, call 304-414-5925 , lsnidow@wvhealthright.org

Main Libary
123 Capitol St.
Charleston, WV 25301
Join your peers and the Teen Services Librarian on the first Monday of every month to rant or rave about whatever you're currently reading. We'll show and tell our favorite titles, make bookish crafts, leave unconventional reviews, share the burden of awaiting upcoming Teen book releases, and fuel it all with some cozy snacks!
Don't forget: we support literacy in ALL forms! Listening to an audiobook while doing chores? Innovative. Super-speeding through your favorite graphic novel or comic for the 17th time? We salute you. Haven't had time to read anything but a cereal box recently?
Registration is not required for this event, but registering will send program reminders.
