Step 3: Become Your Own Best Advocate

It’s important to know your rights as a person with a disability.
We’ll help you learn how to speak up for yourself and ask for the supports you need to succeed in school, training programs, at work and in the community.
You’ll learn how to share your needs, understand your options, and find help when you need it.
We will mentor you and stand by your side as you build confidence to speak up for yourself and others in the disability community— in your community, and with decision-makers.
Step 4: Connect with Your Peers and the Community

Peer Support & Community Connections
Our peer support program connects you with trained peer mentors—people with shared experiences who are ready to support and guide others.
Our goal is to bring people together, reduce isolation, and support better mental well-being. Through connection and shared experiences, we help build confidence, create a sense of belonging, and encourage personal growth.
We also help you get involved in your community through volunteer opportunities that match your interests and goals.
Take part in community activities like plays, concerts, local sporting events, fairs and festivals, outdoor activities, bowling, and movies.
Together, we learn from each other, speak up for our community, and enjoy all that our community has to offer.
